“As you approach thirty, you inevitably start to question yourself: are you making decisions for yourself and on your own terms? Or are you trying to live up to other people’s expectations and unrealized dreams? It starts to feel like you’re doing everything because it’s convenient, even though deep down you long, just once, to be inconvenient. Renovation became an incredibly personal film to me – one I want to recommend to everyone on this journey. Many of us – a whole generation – are like that.” (Programme curator Benita Paplauskaitė)
