Lost, Lost, Lost
She is a lesbian coyote living in New York. She spends her evenings chatting with friends or looking for love. She also dreams of making films. But Bouchra’s greatest challenge is communicating with her mother, who lives in Casablanca. Generational differences in coyote society are as big as in the human world: the women have a hard time finding common ground, and the resentments that have built up over decades threaten to explode at any time. This is an animated film for adults – and only for those who are not afraid of weirdness.

“First imagined as a film-within-a-film, it evolved into a hybrid project when director Meriem Bennani felt a missing piece in the creative process. By incorporating intimate conversations with her mother about sexuality, Bennani turns the film into a bold, personal exploration of acceptance, distant relationships, art, and identity, all set against the "coyote’s world" of a vibrant New York City.” (Programme curator Margot Amadei)
