A fishing boat that disappeared three decades ago suddenly appears off the coast of Cornwall. For those who remember, it is a sign: the Rose of Nevada must return to sea if the town is to prosper once more. The circumstances are strange, but Nick needs to support his family, and Liam needs to escape his past, so both men decide to join the new fishing crew. However, after their first trip, they realize they have ended up in 1993: the locals greet them as the men who once disappeared.

"If you are looking for a film that evokes a vivid and mysterious dream, Rose of Nevada is the perfect choice for you. This work is a true feast for every analogue fetishist: shot on 16mm film, the imagery is richly colored and exceptionally detailed - to the point where you can almost smell the salty sea air. Every imperfection of the celluloid serves to create a singular aesthetic. The story itself will resonate with many - it is a fascinating tale about our connection to the past and the fates of vanishing towns." (Programme Curator Karolis Žukas)
