How do you make a film about the natural world without harming the environment? The solution is a community-driven film spanning all continents. Film director Ed Sayers invited people around the world to film animals and landscapes in their immediate surroundings using Super 8 film cameras and send the footage to him. The result is a moving love letter to nature and a breathtaking journey through 25 countries across five continents.

“The film Super Nature is the complete opposite of high-definition digital nature documentaries that we are used to. Here, the grandeur of nature is conveyed not through facts, but through light, shadows, and film grain. Shaking image, dust, and color saturation become the film’s greatest strengths. The director invites us to see the Earth with a new, open gaze, revealing the planet as a living, breathing work of art.” (Programme curator Karolis Žukas)
