While enjoying a sunny day on a queer beach in Athens, Demosthenes offers to help his friend Nikitas write a screenplay based on his personal experiences. Demosthenes recalls the past: vacation plans postponed due to his father’s illness, his ex-boyfriend, and a stray dog named Carmen. Trying to turn these events into a film plot, Demosthenes and Nikitas begin to question the main rule of screenwriting theory, which states that the hero must change. At the same time, the two are turning the pages of their long-standing friendship.
