Immediately after a breakup, Lydia, a midwife, takes on long shifts at work and fills the remaining hours by wandering the streets and going to the cinema. Her friend Salome, who is happy with her stable relationship and pregnancy, only deepens Lydia’s sense of loneliness. She finds some happiness when she becomes Salome’s midwife, helping her deliver the baby and then take care of it after birth. One night, she unexpectedly meets a bus driver Milo, and develops a liking for him. However, he rejects her, and the woman resorts to a desperate deception. The following events soon spiral out of control.
