Marinette Pichon has been playing football since childhood. The hobby became a real blessing in a toxic family environment where her father constantly abused her mother. Agents spotted the girl hanging out with young boys on the football pitch and invited her to represent the national team. There, she reaped victories but faced injustice, disrespect, and unfair competition. Marinette never got even a third of what the men were paid. Frustrated, she went to Philadelphia and became the first French football player to sign a professional contract with a US major league team. It was only after she started working in the US that she decided to stop hiding and reveal her sexual identity.
