After the death of his sister-in-law, thirty-year-old Thien must transport the body of the deceased and his five-year-old nephew to his hometown, and then find his long-lost brother. During a dream-like journey, the man wrestles with his ghosts. Vietnam’s rosy sunrises, fragrant orchids, and emerald rice paddies contrast with Thien’s inner turmoil: how does one find meaning in a world that is often confusing and strange?
