The legendary silent film by Benjamin Christensen consists of a series of dramatic vignettes – grave robbing, torture, possessed nuns, and the Witches’ Sabbath – illustrating a history of witchcraft from the earliest days to 1922. The film is a combination of gothic horror, documentary reconstruction, and an essay. All that makes it unlike any other in the history of cinema.The soundtrack will be composed and performed live by Manfredas – an internationally acclaimed DJ, producer, and one of the most important names in the Lithuanian electronic music scene. Manfredas is also the co-founder of Radio Vilnius and a record label. In 2023, together with the multi-instrumentalist Marijus Aleksa, he founded an experimental band Santaka.
