“Legendary Brazilian filmmaker and Academy Award winner Walter Salles brings a true story to the screen, focusing on the devastating impact of political oppression and uncertainty on families. While set in Brazil, this story resonates far beyond its borders, speaking to audiences who remember their own nations' past struggles and the conflicts unfolding nearby. The brilliant Fernanda Torres delivers one of the most powerful performances in recent years as Eunice Paiva, a lawyer, activist, and symbol of resistance against the military regime - a role that has earned her an Oscar nomination. I’m Still Here has also reveived "Oscar for Best International Feature and was nominated for Best Picture.” (Head of Programme Dovilė Grigaliūnaitė)
