As political tensions and protests grow in Tehran, the pistol of Judge Iman of the Revolutionary Court mysteriously disappears. Consumed by suspicion, he begins closely monitoring and controlling his wife and daughters. Gradually, Iman’s grip on reality weakens, and his mistrust and controlling behavior start to destroy his relationship with his loved ones. His actions cross social boundaries and begin to break the family’s rules.

“We Westerners sometimes forget how fortunate we are. Watching a simple misunderstanding escalate into a hellish family conflict seems more plausible in a society like Iran’s, where women are still sidelined, and men hold the power to treat their families like hostages. In the film, the daughters experience a world where their voices go unheard, and their silent anger eventually turns to rage. This is a masterfully staged and performer story that should not be missed.” (Programme curator Karolis Žukas)
