Strange things are starting to happen in an idyllic town. One by one, the town's residents disappear: the priest, the altar boy, the postman, the social worker, and the visitors. This mysterious series of disappearances begins shortly after the Makarewicz family moves to town. The local police begin an investigation but find no tangible clues, and the innocent victims continue to vanish without a trace.
