MIDNIGHT SCREAMS
A horror film shot in a single continuous take, capturing the night straight out of hell. Stopping by his drug dealer, Romain tries a new substance – ‘just the thing’ to get him in the mood for a party. But as he drives out into the street, he spots a girl in a hospital gown. Calling the police while under the influence isn’t an option, so Romain decides to give her a lift himself. However, the girl screams at once, clenching her fists and revealing a gaping, toothless mouth. Is this an encounter with a madwoman or a drug-induced hallucination?

“Some films tighten their grip from the very first scene and never let go. The tension here isn’t a slow IV drip – it’s an unstoppable surge, bursting through like water from a leaky roof, growing stronger with every second. The camera turns the audience into an unwitting companion, following the characters in real time, trying to make sense of what’s really happening. This is a film for those who crave adventure in cinema, who want to be so immersed in a story that they forget they’re watching a film at all.” (Programme curator Vladas Rožėnas)
