In Our Day features two seemingly unrelated stories. The first one is about a disillusioned former actress, who retires from work and seeks solace in her old friend’s apartment, and the second is about a middle-aged, alcoholic poet who has become a cult figure among young readers. Through these different angles, film director Hong Sang-soo charmingly reveals a world full of mystery and possibility, where even the smallest details, such as the spiciness of noodles, have serious consequences.
