The first film in the trilogy explores Human Atavism Syndrome (HAS), which exists in the future—500 years from now. This obscure disorder has affected a small portion of the Quantum Human population. The second film is a single, three-part chapter from an upcoming documentary about marginalized communities. After discovering that a long-forgotten idea of faith has become an essential aspect of human survival, a radical underground group uses a DNA machine to increase brain capacity and restore forgotten spiritual rituals. The final part of the trilogy takes place in the future, forty years from now. A documentary television series tells the story of the only being that survived a government experiment aimed at creating a harmonious synthesis of human and machine.

"In 2019, we opened the 'Screen 9' program with Jeremy Shaw's Quantification Trilogy. This program was dedicated to experimentation, bold forms, and retrospectives. I want to screen this particular film again because it marked the then-programming team's desire to bring more experimental cinema to Kino Pavasaris. For me personally, the film is memorable for its impact; the ending of each of the three parts affects the body very physically, and it is in this experience that the interplay of documentary and fiction ultimately comes to fruition."
