Returning to his family home, Antonio finds that it is far from idyllic. His brother, Javier, suffers from a congenital illness and lives in constant pain. This alone creates enormous tension within the family, and on top of that, Javier also has a sharp tongue and does not shy away from criticising or passing judgment on others. Antonio must decide what is his role in this play. Should he dedicate himself to saving someone who does not ask for help? Or seek his own happiness, leaving others to their own fate?

“The spectator of this film becomes a fly on the wall, neutrally observing the intimate details of family life. Time and again, the characters argue, reconcile, and share their thoughts and desires. Yet, from the sidelines, it becomes clear that the fundamental issues remain untouched. Above all, the most honest and challenging question: to what extent can one truly see oneself as separate from their family? Perhaps the boundary between ‘them’ and ‘me’ is not so clear after all.” (Programme curator Vladas Rožėnas)
