The 30th Vilnius International Film Festival “Kino Pavasaris”, which will take place on March 7–23 2025, invites European filmmakers to submit their fiction, documentary, animation and experimental feature and short length films. 

DEADLINE

The deadline for submitting your films is 14 October 2024.

HOW TO SUBMIT

The Vilnius International Film Festival denounces the war inflicted on Ukraine by the russian federation and does not accept applications from Russian and Belarusian* filmmakers.

* Belarusian filmmakers and projects that have not been supported by the official belarusian state institutions are eligible to apply.

ENTRY FEE

For short film – 10 Eur
For feature film – 20 Eur

For Lithuanian and Ukrainian films and co-productions the fee is waived.

PROCESS

By 16 December 2024, the filmmakers of the selected films will be personally notified. 

Due to the high number of applications the festival reserves the right to notify only the selected works only.

Competitive programmes

Competition
First or second feature-length films by European directors which have not yet been publicly screened in Lithuania are eligible. Eligible genres: fiction, documentary, animation or experimental. 

The cash prize of 8000 Eur will be awarded to the best feature film by the international jury. The prize is divided equally between the director and the producer of the winning film. The prize is established by the Vilnius City Municipality.

 

Short Competition
Fiction, documentary, animation or experimental short films by European directors that have not yet been publicly screened in Lithuania are eligible.

The cash prize of 3000 Eur will be awarded to the best short film’s directors by the international jury. The prize is established by the Vilnius City Municipality.
