Screen 9
Three directors immerse themselves in the world of the virtual survival game DayZ for 963 hours. In a sparsely inhabited area of 250 square kilometers, they interact with the inhabitants of this world and document their experiences. The interviews reveal that players are motivated by different reasons. For gamers who have been spending their free time here for a decade, it is an escape from everyday life or a place to fulfill their darkest fantasies against the background of a post-apocalyptic future.
