Inspired by true events, played by non-professionals. Tymek, a young, talented pianist (plays himself) – student of the Warsaw Academy of Music, returns to his small hometown for a vacation, a place where time has stood still. The central meeting point for local youth is the newly created kebab bar. Tymek witnesses a growing conflict between Arab kebab workers and his colleagues from the neighborhood. A conflict that will turn out to be tragic.

“This instantly captivating film suggests that your background will catch up, wherever you run. I always have high expectations for Polish films as they come from one of the strongest film schools in Europe. This debut follows the masters’ traditions and conveys the complexity of modern society with great suggestion and emotional charge. Like in the Polish cinema of moral anxiety, film’s dramatic base lies in the weight of personal responsibility and conflict between one's own values and the environment.” (Aistė Račaitytė)
