The Earth is destroyed. The luxury spaceship Aniara, equipped with an artificial sunlight and a shopping mall, carries a group of survivors to create a new civilization on Mars. When the ship is struck by flying debris and knocked off-course, Aniara's inhabitants are left to float in space. The captain of the ship tries to conceal it from the passengers who continue to satisfy their obsession of consumption. Strange events will soon unfold. Will they reach the Promised Landand save humanity?

"This dystopia of science fiction is not about tomorrow, it is the apocalypse of humanity, the extinction of Homo sapiens. Impressively creative directors assemble poetic and visually impressive adaptation of the poem "Aniara" by Swedish Nobel Prize in Literature laureate Harry Martinson." (Dovilė Raustytė-Mateikė)
