Is it possible, after more than thirty years, to hear the genius director's thoughts on life, profession and vocation? The basis of this film is made up of rare recordings where Andrey Tarkovsky speaks about his first memories, his thoughts on cinema, discusses the importance of religion and spirituality, as well as artists that inspired him like Shakespeare, Bach, and Tolstoy. Tarkovsky also reveals the hardships of censorship and dilemma whether to stay in Soviet Union of emigrate to the West.

„With a countless number of theoretical works aiming to explain Andrey Tarkovsky's heritage and influence on contemporary art, his son brings us back to the director's ideas and the roots of his worldview. He wants to share the emotions that were at the meetings with this great artist and spiritual mentor. The film includes never before heard recording of Arseny Tarkovsky reading his poems. The film captures three generations of creative and philosophical thought. " (Aistė Račaitytė)
