In a fog, masking Icelandic landscape, an off-duty policeman mourns his late wife, who died in a tragic car accident. One day, while going through her things, he discovers a big secret. Love and grief transforms into anger and revenge. Even the little bright moments with a playful 9-year-old granddaughter (played by director's daughter) get a whole different meaning and cease to cheer him up. For a multilayered role, I. Sigurdsson received best actor award at Cannes International Critics' Week.

"When everything is white, and you can no longer see the difference between earth and sky, the dead can talk to the living" a quote that inspired the talented Hlynur Palmason to resurrect the ghosts of the past in the white mist. Director, who was awarded for the best film at Vilnius Film Festival in 2018, returns with a strong drama." (Dovilė Raustytė-Mateikė)
