Director Bertrand Mandico is already well known as a provocative and innovative French experimental artist. After creating many memorable short films and installations, he debuts with the bold political feature length film. It starts at the beginning of the 20th century on Reunion island where six teenagers from good families commit a savage crime. They are taken in hand by a strange captain on a sailboat, but a mutiny soon starts. The boys ground on a wild island, where the notion of pleasure is enhanced by the fantastic vegetation. But tensions rise within the group and unimaginable transformations take place.
