Marco Tucci is a recovering alcoholic on his way to Patagonia to try his hand at fishing for shark. While on the road, Marco bonds with a number of offbeat strangers. As Marco reveals more of himself through these encounters and moments of reflection, his true intentions begin to emerge: he longs to reconnect with his estranged daughter Ana, who has settled with her husband José and infant son Gianni in the nearby town of Jaramillo. His desperate attempts to spend time with his daughter are met with harsh resistance – but hope may not be lost, when a day's excursion on the choppy sea yields an unexpected outcome.
