Aleksei aims to join the French Foreign Legion. After surviving a tragic journey from Belarus to Paris and trials of the legion, he becomes the commander of tactical team. Jomo struggles to protect his village in the Niger Delta from the oil companies. One day, his armed group kidnaps French nationals scouting the area. The destinies of Aleksei and Jomo will merge and continue across borders, bodies and lives in a powerful current of this visually impressive tale.

“Watching this brilliant debut, it is difficult not to think of Claire Denis' Beau Travail, F.F. Coppola's Apocalypse Now or the more recent Kino pavasaris’ hit Berlin Alexanderplatz. Surprising, sensual, and highly aesthetic. The plot is rich in phantasmagorias and references to political, ecological, and economic issues. Franz Rogowski is powerful as always and seems to be the only possible choice for this role.” (Aistė Račaitytė)
