One of the most important contemporary Iranian directors, Asghar Farhadi once more masterfully illuminates the complexities of human interrelations. Rahim is in prison because of a debt he was unable to repay. During a two-day leave, he tries to convince his creditor to withdraw his complaint. But things don’t go as planned and dubious choices are made. Rahim finds himself in a situation which is spiraling out of control, involving ever more characters, and increasing in ambiguity.

Asghar Farhadi (b. 1972) is an Iranian cinema master, who has been awarded Oscars for Best Foreign Language Film twice: for A Separation (2011), which also got Golden Bear in Berlin, and The Salesman (2016), which also received the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Screenplay. His other films include: About Elly (2009, "Kino Pavasaris"), The Past (2013), and a Spanish thriller Everybody Knows (2018).
