One of the most important contemporary Iranian directors, Asghar Farhadi once more masterfully illuminates the complexities of human interrelations. Rahim is in prison because of a debt he was unable to repay. During a two-day leave, he tries to convince his creditor to withdraw his complaint. But things don’t go as planned and dubious choices are made. Rahim finds himself in a situation which is spiraling out of control, involving ever more characters, and increasing in ambiguity.

"Farhadi, a chronicler of the moral dilemmas of modern Iran, is no stranger to sharp public criticism. Although his blood-sticking social realism is recognizable from the first shots, this time the story is elevated to an almost fairytale-like metaphor about the difficult place of a good man under the sun. After the film, I felt grateful for the opportunity to get to know, get angry and fall in love again with this untraditionally perfect hero." (Aistė Račaitytė)
