In August of 2018, 15-year-old student Greta Thunberg started a school strike for the climate. Greta asked adults why she should care about her future in school if they didn’t care about her future on Earth? Within months, her strike evolved into a global movement. Greta, a quiet Swedish girl on the autism spectrum, became a world-famous activist. The director has been following Greta from her very first school strike, unaware that he is witnessing the birth of one of the most influential figures in world history.

“For the past few years, we’ve been hearing millions of Fridays for Future activists as well as powerful politicians and climate change deniers saying Greta’s name. This film provides a unique opportunity to take a more intimate look into her personality and world view, for which one feels grateful.” (Aistė Račaitytė)
