Why does art get stolen? Is it for the money or out of genuine appreciation? Desperate for answers about the theft of her two paintings, a Czech artist seeks out and befriends the career criminal who stole them. After inviting her thief to sit for a portrait, the two form an improbable relationship and an inextricable bond that will forever link these lonely souls. Three years of filming have led to unexpected developments in front of the camera. This fascinating story makes one forget that it's a documentary.
"The film, which becomes a meeting point for the troubles of the elitist art world and society's outcasts, is constructed as a suspenseful Scandinavian detective film. Incredibly frank, multi-layered characters who are full of passion for life make this an interesting watch." (Aistė Račaitytė)
