Alma, age 8, with her two brothers leave their Orthodox convert mother in Paris for shambolic holiday in Rome with their scatterbrain father, whose mind is devoted for a dream of becoming a successful screenwriter. Despite the failing efforts to feel and behave like a real family, Alma hopes that one day her divorced parents will live together again. Regardless to all contradicting signs, Alma strongly believes that such move would set the world spinning in its correct orbit.
„Opening film of Locarno Film Festival is a debut from a renowned Italian producer, who started her carrier as an assistant of Bernardo Bertolucci. It brings us back to the golden atmosphere of the 80s Italy. Gentle humour and tender emotions will remind of the most innocent childhood memories." (Aistė Račaitytė)
The film is presented by the Italian Culture Institute in Vilnius
