Documentary about M.I.A. - one of the most controversial stars, is her friend's Steve Loveridge collage of never-before-seen footage, which traces her way to success, cultural background, political stance and activism. Born in Sri Lanka to the founder of Tamil independence movement, Mathangi 'Maya' Arulpragasam fled to London with her family at the age of nine. Her original plan to become a documentary filmmaker turned into a worldwide famous music career, merging pop, hip-hop and street art aesthetics to fight inequality.
