Lots of Kids, a Monkey and a Castle
Muchos hijos, un mono y un castillo
2017 Spain 90 min N-13
Added to my films

Julita always wanted lots of kids, a monkey, and a castle. After finally realizing these wishes, however, her family loses their property in the economic crisis. But they have not been deprived of the disarming spontaneity or the kindheartedness that mark their domestic squabbles. Now in her 80s Julita is about to find the real meaning of life. A film chronicle with elements of absurd humor that serves as a madcap allegory for the contemporary situation in Spain. Winner of the Best Documentary Award at Karlovy Vary.
