In Porto, the eponymous Portuguese city is the scene of a chance encounter between an American and a Frenchwoman. The night they spend together has a strong impact on both of them, and they return to it obsessively in their memories. In his film, Klinger, a novice director but experienced film critic, takes creative inspiration from his favorite directors. He gets the lightness and grace with which he portrays the transience of human emotions from Richard Linklater, while he shares his empathy for emotionally outsiders with Jim Jarmusch, who also happens to be the film’s executive producer.

"Double Play: James Benning and Richard Linklater" (2013, doc.), "Porto" (2016, "Kino pavasaris").
