A heroin addict, the quick-tempered and lonely forty-year-old car dealer Yvan surprises young Elie trying to burgle him. He doesn’t beat him up – instead, he develops a strange affection for him and takes him home to his parents in his old Chevrolet. It’s the start of an odd journey by two ne'er-do-wells through a magnificent but no less flipped-out country. This smart, funny, serious and deeply emotional road movie tracks quirky, troubled characters, and strikes a just-so balance between absurdist humor and sadness. Belgian born Bouli Lanners (43) worked in a wide variety of jobs on film sets before becoming popular on “Canal+” with "Les Snuls". Since then he has directed films and played supporting parts in Belgian and French films. In 1999, he wrote and directed "Travellinckx" – a black and white Super 8 road movie which travelled the international festival trail.
