Hugh O’Conor plays Fionnan the hapless bride groom whose camping weekend is hijacked by his future brother in law, a psychopath known only as the Machine. A crazed force of nature, the Machine leads the group into the wild mountains of Wicklow where they lose both their inhibitions and their clothes in quick succession. A superb cast, comprising the best of Irish acting talent led by Andrew Scott (Sherlock), with Brian Gleeson (Snow White and the Huntsman) and Peter McDonald (The Damned United) bring huge energy and commitment to their roles. While bearing some similarities with global hit The Hangover, a clever and smart script (by Butler and McDonald) deftly balances zaniness with pathos, and a sparkling humour which is 100% Irish. (
