Best film translation

Films as one of the most popular art products have significant impact not only for our culture and values but on our language as well.

To draw attention to the importance and quality of film translations Vilnius IFF together with Lithuanian Association of Literary Translators decided to evaluate translators of the festival and award one of them for the “Best Film Translation” award.

For the second consecutive year „Kino Pavasaris" together with Lithuanian Literary Translation Union granted a prize for the "Best film translation". This year Andrius Patiomkinas won the prize.

HONORARY AWARD

Michael Hazanavicius received special attention during his visit in Vilnius. During one of the ceremonies Vida Ramaškienė, director of the festival, awarded him with a "Kino Pavasaris" honorary award.
