Culinary Film Programme Presented with Gourmet Surprise (photos)

Vilnius IFF and partner Santa Maria presented the Culinary Film programme with a unique landscape of Lithuanian woods, moss and even lakes made entirely out of food. This impressive tableau was created by the internationally recognised chef Inga Turminienė, who is the only Lithuanian included in The Best Chef’s Awards.

The night continued with a screening of “Michelin Stars: Tales from the Kitchen”. In his documentary, director Rasmus Dinesen takes a critical look at the chefs and restaurants that have earned this recognition. Documentary “The Goddesses of Food” by Vérane Frédiani is not just about food culture, but also examines gender equality by following innovative female chefs and sommeliers who are working to change the rules of a world governed by men. Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon return to taste wines and traditional dishes in the comedy “The Trip to Spain”, directed by Michael Winterbottom.
